Super-talented Puerto Rican Ileana Mercedes Cabra Joglar, aka iLe, mixes Latin grooves and Puerto Rican folk percussion with hip-hop.
Growing up in a musical nest, iLe became famous as a singer with Calle 13 – her older brothers’ hip-hop group. Calle 13 pioneered Latin urban genres and won more than 20 Grammys. iLe’s stage name at the time was PG-13 because she was just a teenager.
In 2016, iLe’s solo career took off with debut album ‘iLevitable’ – a combination of boleros and folk-inspired retro-pop songs. With it, she immediately won quite a few Grammy nominations.
With her latest and third album ‘Nacarile’ (2022), she made a kind of avant-garde melodic experiment, a work of absolute excellence.
That it will be an original and sultry show is certain!
