BATEKOO from Salvador is known for its legendary parties and providing of a safe place for the marginalized LGBTQ and black community in Brazil.
The collective serves as a platform for entertainment, entrepreneurship and empowerment of black and LGBTI+ cultures with a focus on urban youth. Through creativity, dance and music, they are a powerful example of modern resistance to discrimination and inequality.

Their energetic and authentic character not only colors their own parties and festival, but also gave them a place at major events such as AFROPUNK, performances alongside stars like Azealia Banks and Major Lazer, and participation in official Carnival festivities in São Paulo and Salvador.
