Andy Mwag comes from the energetic city of Bujumbura in Burundi. His music incorporates elements of afrobeat, highlife, soukous and many other musical traditions found throughout Africa. He interweaves this rich cultural fabric of the continent with contemporary beats.
Masterfully playing traditional African instruments and the guitar, his passionate vocals give his concerts a raw and emotional energy.
With his most recent CD ‘Champion’ (2022), featuring songs like ‘Danse’, ‘Itambire’, ‘Mvugisha’, and ‘Kukadirisha’, Andy Mwag demonstrates his musical talent to translate different genres into his signature style.
